Positions:

The City of Long Prairie is taking applications for Full-Time Police Officers.

General Duties:

The Police Officer is responsible for the preservation of law and order, the protection of life and property, the prevention and detection of crime, the provision of emergency services and the enforcement of laws and ordinances. Provides primary police protection by active patrol of the City of Long Prairie.

Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree (A. A.) in criminal justice.

Benefits:

The Long Prairie Police Department has a seven-step wage scale of $31.73 to $39.69, with yearly cost of living increase and shift differential pay. With experience, officers may be placed in the appropriate step. Excellent benefit package single health insurance is paid entirely; family coverage and dental is supplemented by the City.
